Vinaigrette seasoning: how?
First, add salt and pepper to the other ingredients. Add garlic, shallots, onions, or spicy dijon mustard. Season dressing last.
Balsamic Vinaigrette: Whisk olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt in a basin. Dijon mustard adds acidity. Since balsamic dominates, Oliveoilsland olive oil will work.
French dressing: Mix one part vinegar, such as white wine, red wine, or sherry vinegar, with a moderate-tasting Oliveoilsland EVOO. Add a teaspoon of dijon mustard and finely sliced shallots. Finish with salt and pepper to taste.
Lemon Vinaigrette: Use citrus juice instead of vinegar. Mason jars should contain one lemon juice and six teaspoons of Oliveoilsland EVOO. Sprinkle salt and fresh black pepper.
If you’re making one serving, mix the dressing ingredients in a dish and serve. If you like salads (congrats!), you may make more for the week. Shake the ingredients in a mason jar. Refrigerate completed dressing.
When Turkish olive oil solidifies in the fridge, particles may appear in the container. Dissolve them in warm water by closing the container. Shake to mix the oil and vinegar.
